Membership

Membership has its privileges! ADSBS members enjoy reduced fees, a quarterly magazine, free listing on this Web site, an annual member’s meeting and banquet, and participation in the running of the organization. Educational events are held at least annually, covering topics including flock health, government regulations, nutrition, showing and fitting, and Dorper breed standards.

Registering your sheep with the ADSBS entitles you to participate in shows and sales held by the ADSBS and local affiliated organizations. The fees collected by the registry cover national promotion of the breed as well as the member benefits listed above.

The ADSBS maintains working relationships with Dorper breeders in Canada, Mexico, Australia, and South Africa. The organization is a non-profit corporation with the goal of promoting Dorper and White Dorper Sheep, working to establish them as a significant element of the sheep industry in the United States.

ADSBA Memberships run from January 1 through December 31 of each year.

The annual membership fee for Members is $50.00. Dues must be paid annually to be considered a member in good standing.

To become a member, complete the Adult Membership Form. Once you submit the form, you will be redirected to our payment page in order to pay your annual membership fee.

  1. Membership Name is the name that you purchased/transferred animals into
  2. Flock Name: Each animal registered is identified with a flock name, along with a flock number that is in the animals' ear)
  3. Flock Name must be under 20 letters/spaces and cannot include any punctuation (periods, commas, apostrophes, etc.)
